In this role, you will:

 

  • Work with the Future Aircrew Training (FAcT) capture team to develop the aviation solution
  • Attend weekly meetings in the Ottawa office as part of the FAcT capture team
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships in Operational Support Services including Air Traffic Control, Emergency Response Services, Flight Operations Aeronautical Information Services, and Bird and Mammal Services, and all other customer defined supports.
  • Lead the Operational Support Services solution and requirements on all innovation aspects for Site Support Services, including Mission Support Services
  • Lead the design and development of an optimal solution including setting the policy and technical principles
  • Analyze the customer requirements and develop Babcock Canada’s derived requirements to create a solution architecture which offers value add and additional services
  • Lead information sessions and workshops for design, enhancements, and issue resolution with all internal and external stakeholders to identify global best practice to ensure a world class solution fit for purpose
  • Provide frequent and regular reporting for all stakeholders advising of health and status, risk level, needs, changes, and contingencies
  • Liaise with federal clients in order to identify and implement innovative solutions to meet their requirements
  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with a variety of stakeholders such as Indigenous communities and agencies, federal government departments and agencies, other levels of government, internal service lines, and private sector organizations
  • Provide a collaborative leadership style for each aspect of Operational Support Services solutions
  • Be a Thought Leader internally to help develop wider strategies and long term solutions
  • Represent Babcock at key industry events/conferences (speaking or panel engagement)

 

The ideal candidate brings:

 

  • A minimum of eight (8)-10 years experience working with the Federal Government
  • A background in Military Aviation in Canada preferred
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and oral
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • The ability to multi task several critical assignments
  • Strong relationship-building, stakeholder management, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • A degree or diploma in a related discipline
  • A proven and demonstrated ability to deliver against targets and meet the priorities of the business
  • Eligibility for a Canadian Secret Security and ITAR Clearance
