The role
As a Survival Equipment Section Technician, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Carrying out scheduled maintenance and repairs to any/all RAF Survival Equipment and Aircrew Equipment Assemblies as required to always meet or exceed customer expectations and HADES contractual needs.

 

Day to day, you will schedule maintenance of Survival Equipment and Aircrew Equipment Assemblies, as well as:

 

  • Ensuring the periodic, after use and corrective maintenance of wet/dry drill equipment.
  • The recording of maintenance documentation and IAW regulations
  • Making sure the correct engineering standards and practices are employed.
  • Making sure the appropriate Health & Safety precautions are observed.
  • The Calibration and recording of Torque tools as and when required.

 

This role is full time and based onsite at RAF Cranwell.

 

Essential experience of the Survival Equipment Section Technician

  • Experience of Parachute maintenance and packing.
  • Experience of Life Raft maintenance and packing
  • RAF Flying Clothing Maintenance and Fitting.

 

Qualifications for the Survival Equipment Section Technician

  • RAF Survival Equipment Course or civilian equivalent. 
  • Q-SE-AC or Q-AV-MED.

 

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
