Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B2) - Avionics
Location: Regional role covering North of the UK

About the role
Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Licensed Aircraft Engineer on a full time, permanent basis.
 
Reporting to the Regional manager the Licensed Aircraft Engineer (LAE) is to ensure all aircraft Avionic Engineering, line and depth maintenance and all other Avionic engineering related activities and services are provided as required to meet or exceed customer expectations and LAFT2 contractual needs at all times. 

 

Main Tasks: 
You will have the authority to provide a CRS signature when appropriate to release an aircraft to service after either defect rectification or scheduled maintenance. You will also need to undertake scheduled and corrective maintenance of the Aircraft fleet to ensure airworthiness is maintained.

 

In addition, you will supervise engineering and Flight Line activity on Company aircraft and associated equipment in conformity with authorised schedules, technical publications and instructions ensuring highest standards of maintenance are maintained. This will include undertaking or supervision of, as directed the investigation, diagnosis and rectification of defects and submission of reports as required and to ensure to complete “all” documentation in accordance with current legislation and Company procedures.

 

We require our LAE to champion a Total safety Approach. Ensure full compliance at all times with all relevant Health, Safety and Environment regulations and exercise a Duty of Care promoting a positive approach towards workplace health and safety.
 
What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to hold:
•    Specific technical knowledge.    
•    Sound understanding of partnering and alliance between customer and contract.
•    EASA Part 66, B2 license.
•    Supervisory experience in a Civil/Military Aviation environment.
•    Ability to demonstrate practical and theoretical standards required.
•    Driving Licence.

 

What else do I need to know?

This role is a regional role covering the North of the UK from Manchester up to and including Scotland – we have various base locations available throughout the North of the UK so open to candidates with the correct Licence and experience who are flexible regards travel to carry out both planned and reactive duties, and we will base them at our closest location to their residential address.

All applicants must have current, unrestricted right to work in the UK, and also be eligible to gain and maintain UK SC level security clearance.
