Program Engineering Manager - CCBRNE

About the Role
 

As the Program Engineering Manager for the Counter-Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear & Explosives (C-CBRNE) program, Defence sector – Land, you will provide technical leadership to our projects and ensure the timely delivery of program objectives by applying engineering processes and technical tools. As a key member of our engineering team, you will thrive working in a client facing environment, in a close knit team and hold responsibility for:
 

  • Leading a team of nine engineers for the Acquisition, Introduction into Service and on-going engineering support to the Australian Defence Force (ADF) for C-CBRNE products.
  • Identifying and defining the scope, budget and timelines required for assigned work packages.
  • Providing technical input and support to the development of proposals, tender evaluations and user trials, verification activities and data deliverables that support the introduction and through life support of products.
  • Developing and maintaining any program specific engineering management plans or procedures in accordance with governance requirements.
  • Acting as a mentor to guide, coach, and develop their capabilities.
     

About you
 

The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a national team of talented, creative engineers that deliver solutions for the defence industry. Ideally you will have:
 

  • Extensive engineering experience;
  • Australian Citizenship with NV1 security clearance (or the eligible to obtain one);
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or equivalent, preferably with Chartered Engineering status;
  • Prior experience with CASG, managing a technical team and project management;
  • Systems engineering experience within defence.
