Defence Training
The RADAR, Guided Weapons and Surveillance Engineering Lecturer role is based within our Defence Training business area.
The role
As a RADAR, Guided Weapons and Surveillance Engineering Lecturer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll deliver training RADAR, Guided Weapons and Surveillance Systems at level 3 and above.
Day to day, you’ll develop teaching resources, lesson plans, material and contextualised content in line with the course specification (including multimedia resources such as Moodle activities), demonstrate exemplary teaching skills and strive to create excellent lessons for the benefit of the students & customer and support the design of new courses in conjunction with Course Design Teams.
You’ll also continuously improve your teaching and engineering abilities, evidencing this through reflective practise, research and reading.

Essential experience
- HND or degree in a relevant Engineering subject
- Understanding of radar systems desirable
- PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (or the motivation to complete an in-house CET Level4 qualification) desirable
