About the role

 

Here at Babcock International, we’re looking to recruit a Workshop Supervisor / Controller to join the team.

You effectively manage the maintenance and repair workshop technical team to ensure that:

 

The MPS vehicle fleet availability is maintained in accordance with operational requirements and the Service is delivered in a safe, cost effective and technically compliant manner according to the required standards.

 

You will also be required to:

 

Plan, schedule and progress work to ensure optimised use of labour and cost effective use of materials and equipment.

 

Manage workshop performance, ensuring work completed to time and quality standards set out. Address performance issues in ‘real time’ with escalation to workshop manager as required.

Manage training and development needs to enable team members to meet the skill levels required to achieve individual and business objectives. Provide 1-2-1 support and reviews for colleagues via the PDR process

 

What do I need to do the role?

 

You should have proven experience in a Motor Vehicle technician role, with experience gained as a fully qualified technician.

 

We would also like you to have proven experience in a Motor Vehicle technician role, with experience gained as a fully qualified technician and hold an NVQ level 3, or equivalent B/TEC or City & Guilds in Motor Vehicle Engineering.
