To ensure the ongoing success of the service delivery to the London Fire Brigade we have a great opportunity for 2 Technical Trainers to join the team.

 

We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience within the emergency services environment with -

  • Comprehensive technical knowledge of –
    • FRU Core Skills
    • RTC Instruction
    • In Line Rescue
  • Experience of inspecting & maintaining equipment to a high standard
  • Understanding of the requirements for development and maintenance of trainer

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure the effective delivery of Technical Rescue Training in accordance with the Training Delivery Programme
  • Assessing learner performance, recording results and providing feedback and action plans
  • Managing physical training resources including venues, vehicles and equipment
  • Ensuring the training resources’ security and suitability for use
  • Ensure a safe system of work is maintained throughout effective training delivery
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise with regard to future development of Technical Rescue training for emergency services.

Qualifications

  • RTC Instructor
  • IRATA Level 1 or above
  • USAR Instructor (Desirable)
  • PTTLS, AET or equivalent teaching qualification (Desirable)
  • IOSH Health and Safety (Desirable)
