Fire Safety Trainer


About the role

Here at Babcock we’re looking to recruit a Fire Safety Trainer, supporting the London Fire Brigade to deliver the fire safety training programme either at Babcock training centres or at fire stations.

You will need a comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, standards and guidance relating to Regulatory Fire Safety. Understand the fire risk assessment process and associated documentation. Able to explain the passive and active fire safety measures likely to be present in a range of buildings and occupancy types. Able to explain how fire safety features can support firefighting operations.

As well as working for the UK’s largest provider of engineering apprenticeships and one of the country’s largest training providers across technical sectors. We will also help you with your own personal development needs.

What do I need to do the role?

  • Level 3 fire safety certificate or NEBOSH fire certificate
  • Evidence of fire safety CPD carried out over the last 3 years
  • Operational firefighting knowledge and experience.

You will also need good communication skills – to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide range of people in order to successfully deliver training, liaise with training design team and, where required, support discussions with the LFB.
