About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Body Shop Panel Beater to remove and/or repair damaged panels, and chassis. As part of your role, you’ll provide an exceptional customer experience by servicing and repairing motor vehicles, that meets our customers exceptional standards.

In addition you’ll repair vehicles, components and accessories including removal and fitting of new parts. Carry out repairs to plastic components, and strip and fit operations. Ensure all police signs are covered appropriately. Provide technical and diagnostic support to colleagues. Analyse and report on additional damage, and check all new parts. Order replacement parts ensuring correct documentation and procedures are followed. Accurately interpret technical repair information and data. Keep up-to-date with bulletins, procedures and technical/industry information. Maintain the workshop, tools and equipment in safe and clean manner. Be aware of COSHH regulations, including waste disposal and storage of substances

What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to hold a City & Guilds 1 and 2 in Motor Vehicle Body Repairs or NVQ levels 2 and 3 or equivalent.

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

  • Proven experience in a Motor Vehicle Body Panel Beater role
  • Hold or working toward a Master Technician qualification
  • Completion of manufacturer training through Ford, Vauxhall or BMW
  • Good understanding and working knowledge of body repair equipment
  • Good level of industry knowledge/awareness

Lastly, you will need to have a full driving licence

Employees are located across various locations across Great Britain and work tirelessly in our offices, workshops, academies and remotely to deliver expert training across a wide range of contracts and provide vital vehicle maintenance to London's emergency services.  Our talented employees keep the emergency services vehicles on the road. We provide vehicle servicing and repairs to the Metropolitan Police Services (MPS) and London Fire Brigade (LFB) from our various workshops in London and surrounding areas.  We also provide vital training for new recruits and existing people to the fire service.
