Multi Competency Trainer
Location: Various across Greater London and the UK
Permanent, Full Time


About the role

Here at Babcock we are looking to recruit a Multi Competency Trainer to ensure the successful delivery of fire service training.

What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to have Achieved a recognised teaching qualification e.g. Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) or  Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) and a recognised assessor qualification e.g. Level 3 Awards/Certificate in Assessing and Assuring the Quality of Assessment (QCF) or A1 NVQ Award in Level 3 Assessing Learners


Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of training processes and techniques, including needs analysis, planning, design, delivery and evaluation.
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge in two or more Fire Service Specialist Training subjects (With national accreditation where appropriate) e.g. Road Traffic Collision, Urban Search and Rescue, Breathing Apparatus, Incident Management, Technical Rescue, Immediate Emergency Care, Line Operations, High Volume Pumping, FFD.
  • Experience of assessing competence of individuals, recording results, providing feedback and writing action plans.
  • Experience of managing students (including student welfare) on both residential and non-residential courses.
  • Experience of using a range of training delivery and administrative software.


What else do I need to know?

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
