We have an exciting opportunity based here at Royal Air Force Scampton.

Who we are looking for?

We are looking for a RAFAT Tool Controller to be responsible for the control of tools and test equipment issued to RAFAT Engineering and visiting Engineers to ensure Flight Safety is maintained at all times and ensuring equipment is available and serviceable as far as possible.


What will you be doing?

•    A 100% tool accountability check is to be carried out prior to start work, at shift change and cease work and signed for on MOD Form F757A(Tools)
•    Ensure tools/test equipment are issued in accordance with current Policy MAM-P 4.13.1 and RAFAT AESO Bk2, Pt1, Chapt 1 order 17
•    All tool kits used on Aircraft must have the Kit number recorded on that aircrafts PPMWO
•    All tool kits stored in the Issue Centre must be physically checked for completeness and serviceability on receipt back to the issue centre.
•    All F&L in use stock is to be checked weekly to ensure they are in life and replaced accordingly. All F&L products are to be booked out in the RAFAT F&L register and tagged on issue. Order new stock as required.
•    All consumables are to be tagged on issue and a small stock kept in the Bulk Store for replenishment. Order new stock as required.


The experience you’ll bring 

•    Engineering experience
•    Proficient user of Microsoft Word and Excel
•    Aware of Supply & Warehousing procedures
•    Supervisory experience    


You must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
