Defence Equipment
The Washdown Operative role is based within our Defence Equipment business area.

Defence equipment stores, maintains, repairs and overhauls military vehicles and equipment so the UK army is able to train and deploy in a moment. As well as supporting vehicles that are already in service, the team carries out vehicle assembly integration and tests new vehicles.

 

The role
The difference our new Washdown Operative will make

As a Washdown Operative, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for the daily cleansing of land equipment and localised washdown real estate.

 

Day to day, you will be responsible for keeping the fleet of vehicles clean and upkeeping general maintenance around the facilities.

Essential experience:

•    CATB car license is essential
•    Ability to be proactive 
•    Ability to react to workload change
•    Good levels of numeracy and literacy
•    Basic IT skills
•    Must hold or have the ability to obtain SC Security Clearance
