Babcock Education is looking for a Date Team Information Officer (systems) who will ensure the central LA Management Information System (CAPITA ONE) contains up to date pupil data, with efficient record keeping and monitoring. Delivery of all statutory returns meeting set deadlines and providing support to Surrey users within agreed service delivery agreement (SDA), based within Babcock 4Sin our Leatherhead office.


Top 4 Major Tasks and Activities:

  • Monitor receipt of data files from schools and Department for Education (DfE) via the secure mechanisms that are in place.
  • Provide statistical reports to Local Authorities in and outside Surrey.
  • Provide Helpdesk support to SIMS Service Desk
  • Create/Maintain termly database for tracking data collections

  • Good knowledge of at least one education based Management Information System (desirable)
  • Knowledge and understanding of the school environment (desirable)
  • Awareness and experience of customer focused environment.

  • An awareness of ITIL standards and processes
  • A natural aptitude for IT
  • Good customer service skills

  • Term Time Only – 36 Hours
  • Contract until March 2018
  • £19,000 (FTE £22,289)
