Here at Babcock International Group, we aim to deliver engineering-led and world-leading products and services across our Engineering, Specialised Manufacturing, Gas Handling Systems and Naval Marine business streams.

Our Air Power International (API) business unit support for service and repair of rotational mechanical equipment including compressed air, refrigeration type. This is the unit you will be administrating to.

Who we are looking for?
You will be the central point of all enquiries, both internal and external, so it is key that you have a proven record of being an effective and confident communicator. You will be using Microsoft and will learn how to use our own administration system in order to help deliver excellent service from your team. API is a smaller team of 17 people, so you will be supported in a friendly and team-orientated environment. Although this is a fixed term contract, there is potential for you to be moved to permanent contract after the 52 weeks due to company growth.

What will you be doing?

•    You will be the central point of enquiries both internally and externally
•    Financial administration including but limited to job cards, claims, and invoices
•    You will administer support to the engineers where needed
•    You will raise purchase orders to buy parts requested by engineers and ensure correct items are received
•    You will learn how to operate the service management software (CLIK) and be responsible for keeping this updated


The experience you’ll bring 

•    You will have proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently in challenging situations
•    You will be experienced using all forms of Microsoft packages
•    You will have experience in administration supporting field-based services
•    It would be beneficial, but not essential, to have a basic understanding of technical engineering words/phrases
•    Must be able to pass baseline security clearance
