The role


The difference our new Lead EMC Engineer will make


As a Lead EMC Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As a Lead Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Engineer you will be working in the SSE Electrical Engineering Group’s EMC Section and will be involved in the various associated EMC work streams.


Day to day, you’ll be a source of EMC expertise and will be responsible for management of the EMC Testing tasks run on behalf of the MoD customer within the Electrical Engineering group.


You’ll managing subcontracts and partnerships with UKAS accredited EMC Test Houses to plan, cost and undertake EMC testing (as required by the MoD or Babcock), in addition to the production of EMC Test reports and mitigation of EMC failures.

Essential experience


•    Extensive EMC experience, we welcome applicants from all industries. 
•    Ability to lead teams to deliver outputs to cost, time and quality requirements of a contract. 
•    Experience acting as the primary point of contact for external and internal stakeholders.
