An opportunity has arisen at Wattisham Flying Station for an IT Supervisor (38 hrs a week) working at 7 Aviation Close Support Battalion REME. The contract runs until 31st December 2022 with a further one year contract extension to Dec 2023 and possibly further contract extensions beyond 2023. 


Who we are looking for?

We are looking for an IT Supervisor to monitor and co-ordinate all aspects of IT within the Bn. Full instructions and familiarisation gaining task competency is given onsite. Babcock staff are fully integrated into the Battalion and for day-to-day activities report directly to the Military Department Head and for Babcock related matters to the Babcock Site Manager.

 

What will you be doing?

•    Act as focal point for all IT faults and minor repairs.
•    Co-ordinate all hardware and infrastructure issues with the MOD network estate manager. 
•    Co-ordinate all telecommunication faults and projects with district manager.
•    Co-ordinate and administer the allocation and closure of all user accounts on both high level domains. 
•    Assist with the administration of the Bn IT security policies as directed the Bn Security Officer.
•    Advise the Bn Engineering Operations Officer on any IT security and infrastructure issues.

You must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
