We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Group Planning Optimisation to join our business, focusing on driving transformational change across our Supply Chain operations including Integrated Business planning, Material Planning and Warehouse Operations.  In this hybrid working role you’ll be responsible for monitoring, optimising, designing, and driving the global planning within the non-SAP network to reduce costs, increase flexibility, and support future business growth.

What will you be doing?
As the Head of Group Planning, you will play a key role in supporting multiple site specific, and network wide programs and initiatives to ensure we achieve our business financial targets, KPI's, business objectives, and drive resolution of roadblocks.

 

What the role involves:
•    Take ownership for defining, documenting and implementing the target business processes for the Material Planning function using non SAP based ERP systems and other tools
•    Uses deep knowledge of the MP&L domain to analyse issues and define requirements and quantify business cases for implementation prioritisation
•    Defines and implements best practice processes for the MP&L function
•    Act as the focus point with the MP&L function for business process mapping and improvement initiatives
•    Document process pain points and areas for improvement
•    Support IT in creating requirements and a transformation map for the MP&L function

 

The experience you’ll bring     
•    Bachelor or Master’s degree in an Materials Planning, Logistics, Engineering, or IT disciplines, or equivalent through experience
•    A wealth of experience in material planning process design and implementation
•    Prior experiences leading and managing within a highly regulated environment and leading large and geographically dispersed/matrix organisation with many levels
•    Prior experience in operational excellence, lean six sigma, continuous improvement, project management
•    Experience with SAP planning functionality
•    Ability to understand IT related process issues and be able to translate them in a simple and effective way for the business to understand 
•    Accreditation to the relevant professional institutes (i.e. CILT)
•    Must hold or have ability to obtain SC security clearance
