We are now actively recruiting for an ER Advisor with specific experience in Sickness Absence casework. You will be responsible for providing an outstanding ER focused service. This is a hands on role which requires an ER specialist who is able to deal with a high number of ER cases at any one time. The role will focus primarily on Sickness Absence casework but may from time-to-time be required to handle generic ER casework.

 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide ER specialist advice and support face to face and over the telephone.
  • Advice on practical implementation of policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the day to day management of the Sickness Absence case load and ensuring all cases are managed consistently and in accordance with HR policy and best practice.
  • End to end support for Line Managers on ER issues with a specific focus on Sickness Absence and advise on interpretation of HR policy, procedure and best practice
  • Facilitate and attend ER meetings such as absence management, long term sick reviews, welfare visits, flexible working discussions etc.
  • Build strong working partnerships across the business and with key stakeholders
  • Support absence management administration, from monitoring absence levels and hi lighting areas of concern to Lead HR Business Partner
  • Work collaboratively with the wider HR team, Managers and internal teams.
  • Protect the information assets of the Company and comply with the Company’s Information Assurance policies and procedures at all times.

Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Qualifications:

  • Professional, customer orientated and flexible approach

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and deliver in a complex environment

  • A proactive approach with the ability to work well in a team
  • Proven experience of supporting managers through general Employee Relations issues with specifc knowledge in Sickness Absence management
  • Knowledge of MS Office applications
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Experience of producing reports and spreadsheets
  • Experience of managing issues effectively via telephone/email
  • Experience of working within an Employee Relations role in a large Customer group
  • Educated to A level or equivalent

 

Security

If you do not have the Security Clearance required for a particular role you may not be able to start your employment until clearance has been obtained. In certain roles, you will need to satisfy requirements in order to gain an Airside Pass. To secure an Airside Pass, you will be required to provide full referencing for the last five years; accounting for any gaps in employment for 28 days or longer. You may also need to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check (previously CRB checks).
