About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Structures Supervisor.


You’ll undertake detailed structural repairs and co-ordinate personnel in support of contractual requirements and develop a safe and quality conscious work force of staff. You’ll need to ensure that with the assets available the contracted output is met and promote good practices in quality and safety management in an aviation environment.


You’ll be responsible for the general supervision and technical direction of all employees under their control.


The main tasks could include but not limited to:
• Carry out 1st and 2nd signature responsibilities.  
• Carry out all authority level D special F tasks that do not require additional authorization criteria - subject to any limitations imposed by the authorising authority.
• Expected to deputise for Team Leader and supervise Technicians.
• Ensuring that the tasks is completed in a safe and efficient manner, on time and to the highest standard.
• Control of Manpower allocated to them.
• Monitoring the work carried out by employees under his/her control to ensure that they conform to current regulations and that documentation is promptly and accurately completed.

What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need Training in an Aircraft related discipline to:- City & Guilds 2675 Level 3 or equivalent or NVQ Level 3 in Aircraft maintenance, be proficient in the interpretation of engineering drawings, workbook instructions, and technical manuals, qualified and experienced in primary and secondary Airframe structural repair techniques, have extensive experience in a Supervisory position within a related engineering environment, Supervisor in Aviation training and a Mechanical Systems Type course.


What else do I need to know?
• The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
