Forward Controller/Operator - Nights

About the role


Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Forward Controller/Operator to ensure with the assets available that the contracted output is met.


Aircraft are to be correctly rolled and positioned on the correct Aircraft Servicing Platform commensurate with the armed state to meet the daily tasking.


The manning resource is to be fully utilised to ensure suitable qualified shift personnel are available to meet the flying task and to perform all site corrective and preventative maintenance to return aircraft to the flying state in a safe, timely and cost effective manner.


Further responsibilities will include;                    

  • The safe and efficient day to day operation of the night shift.
  • Ensure the correct levels of manning and service are provided for visiting aircraft
  • Maintain good tool control practices i.a.w. AMC’s and Local procedures as required.
  • Assist with staff recruitment.
  • Ensure that PDRs are carried out in a timely manner.
  • Assist with management of Staff Performance & Development
  • Maintaining a PEVL to establish continuity of experience. Ensure that all tradesmen return the individual PEVLs for validation of entries on a regular basis.
  • Deliver Briefings to Customer & Staff


What do I need to do the role?


You must hold years’ relevant work experience within the aircraft maintenance environment working at a supervisory level exercising certifying privileges.
