ASE Mechanical Supervisor
RAF Valley, Wales



About the role


Here at Babcock International, we are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Supervisor to be responsible for the efficient and effective management of all ASE activities for Hawk AJT contract at RAF Valley.


Your main task is to ensure with the assets available that the contracted output is met. This could include but not limited to;
• Ensuring all tool control procedures IAW the relevant Acceptable Means of Compliance are followed
• The production of pre-printed work cards and maintenance procedures/Trilogyview/IMS
• The overall safety and security of ASE mechanical equipment under his/her control.
• Ensuring that all possible measures are taken to prevent FOD within aircraft and associated equipment.
• Monitoring the prompt handling and distribution of e-mails/messages within the department.
• Monitoring the handling, distribution and satisfaction of engineering instructions (MODs, RTI’s, UTI’s STIs, SIs etc.) and their associated reporting procedures.


What do I need to do the role?


• Industry experience
• Training in Mechanical discipline to City and Guilds Level or equivalent level 3 equivalent (completed an apprenticeship)
• Previous experience in a fitter position within a related engineering environment
• Use a combination of general and specialist engineering knowledge and understanding to apply existing and emerging technology
• Working knowledge and use of IT Operating Systems (MS Office Suite) and the Internet.
