The role

The difference our new Supply Manager will make
As a Supply Manager you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. delivering information and reports on Supply Services performance up to the Site Manager including KPI and Pi statistics.

 

Day to day, you’ll have direct responsibility to the relevant Station Commander for the Material Account (MA) as the Unit MA Holder and via the Site manager, for the retention of licences, quality and safety management systems, MA Audits, and customer procurement recordable, and management checks of all supply service deliverables. Be responsible for the leadership and management of Babcock staff employed on the project at RAF Henlow and adherence to all applicable MoD and Babcock policies, processes, and procedures, including safety, deliver information and reports on Supply Services performance up to the Site Manager including KPI and Pi statistics. SOR Ensuring that all documentation is produced, maintained, and recorded in accordance with Defence Logistics Framework (DLF) and HQ Air Command Air Logistic Instructions.

Ensure that all relevant subcontracts on Site are operating in accordance with the SOR, help with preparation of all stocktaking paperwork and promulgation of the annual stocktaking programme, also, the completion of the annual stocktaking report for HQ Air Command. Maintain an archive for all auditable documentation for a period of 3 years, 7 years for archives containing purchasing documents, make sure all databases and records are to be accurate and maintained to a high standard including all security aspects as required by current regulations and act as Deputy to the Site Manager in terms of their absence, acting as a point of contact for customer and business relations.

Essential experience

•    The Supply Manager must have at least 4 years recent experience in operating/managing a similar size supply organisation or civilian equivalent. Relevant experience may have been obtained from a recent Senior Supply Flight appointment within the RAF or from managing a comparable operation in the commercial sector
•    Sound knowledge of all aspects of MOD Logistics delivery including RAF Logistics and Material Accounting.
•    Success in managing a large inventory of stock and inventory held items.
•    Demonstrable success in the preparation of stocktaking reports and sustaining performance.
•    Experience in delivering and sustaining performance improvement, stock levels and replenishment levels.
•    Experience of leading change in response to customer demands and organisational flexibility.
•    Professional Logistics or Warehouse Management qualification (chartered or incorporated).
•    The Supply Manager will have previous experience of successfully delivering the scope of services specified within the statement of requirement, HQ Air Command Air Logistic Instruction No 17. Material Accounting Roles & Responsibilities of OC logistics Sqn and the Defence Logistic Framework and for delivering efficiency and innovation to their department or contract.
•    Obtain or have the ability to obtain SC Clearance
