About the role

Here at Babcock International, we are looking for a part-time Kitchen Porter.

 

You will be part of the Kitchen Porter resource pool, working flexibly across all catering outlets within Hospitality & Retail Services keeping kitchens running smoothly by ensuring that equipment and the environment are kept clean, tidy, safe and hygienic.  Assist the Catering team by undertaking basic food preparation, receiving / collecting deliveries from the catering store and ensuring that items are stored appropriately.

 

With this role there is potential to develop internally i.e. commis chet or other hospitality and retail positions.

 

What do I need to do the role?

You must have a passion for delivering great customer service.

 

Key areas of competency we require are as follows:

  • Previous experience gained within busy kitchen environments, café, restaurants, catering outlets etc desirable but not essential
  • Effective communicator
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision as well as team working
  • Food hygiene, preparation or any catering related qualifications would be advantageous

 

What else do I need to know?

  • You must hold or have the ability to obtain full SC clearance
  • 5.5 hours per week working Saturday from 15:00 to 20:30
