Planning Scheduler


Location – Faslane

About the role

Here at Babcock International, we are looking for a Planning Scheduler.


You will support the Safety Justification Department in the development and implementation of a Design Authority (DA) Integrated Plan, which not only recognises the key requirements for the DA but recognises the impact on resource.


The Planning Scheduler will coordinate the DA (MoD Approving Authority (AA), MoD Technical Authority (TA) and Safety Justification Group (SJG)) manpower required to support an integrated DA Task Plan which includes inputs/outputs in accordance with the requirements of the HMNB Clyde suite of Nuclear Site Safety Justification (NSSJ) documents.


What do I need to do the role?

You will demonstrate experience of working in a Planning role within a large, complex business or engineering environment.


Have a track record and experience of Primavera P6 evidenced with experience of planning, data control, data management, performance management and analysis of the project plan.


You will be highly IT literate with experience in the use of excel, data manipulation, reporting and the creation of dashboards.


We would liek ou to hold all or most of the following:

  • HNC or equivalent in mechanical/electrical engineering
  • Adept in communicating with key stakeholders
  • Have a good working knowledge of planning methodology, project controls and project management principles
  • Analytical with excellent attention to detail
  • Well-developed team working and interpersonal skills


What else do I need to know?

  • You must hold or have the ability to obtain full SC clearance
