About the role

Here at Babcock we are looking to recruit an Apprenticeship Co-ordinator to manage and co-ordinate a team and support Trainee Fire Fighters through apprenticeship programme and delivery of Functional Skills.

What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to have Functional Skills level 2 maths and English or equivalent and demonstrate strong managerial attributes. It is essential that you are IT literate with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other systems.


Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

  • Manage a team who deliver and facilitate learning for Operational Firefighter Apprenticeship to include functional Skills
  • Co-ordinate Apprenticeship funding and eligibility
  • Produce timely business critical reports and progress analysis
  • Create and maintain an efficient work plan practising effective time management and cost effectiveness
  • Support and record progress of apprentices at regular reviews and manage all OFSTED inspections.
  • Provide managerial support to a team of Apprenticeship Coaches this will include scheduling and planning
  • Review apprentices as per contractual requirements. Monitor and record progression towards achievement and give feedback to apprentice and their manager/mentor.
  • Design appropriate training materials and deliver bespoke on demand maths and English workshop to meet learning and development needs.

 What else do I need to know?

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
