Risk Specialist

About the role

Here at Babcock International we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Risk professional based at HMNB Clyde. The successful candidate is responsible for supporting Project Managers deliver projects within the required safety standards, time, cost and quality targets through the provision of specialist risk management function.

In line with Babcock Group’s Project Delivery Framework (PDF) and the Fleet Programmes Stage and Gate process, the post holder will be responsible for developing, maintaining and control Fleet Programme’s PMO Learning from experience process.

This includes the capture of lessons learnt throughout the project lifecycle and conducting reviews of previous LFE with project teams in the early stages of breaking out project maintenance requirements.

To provide risk management support by the development, implementation and maintenance of the Risk Management Plan and co-ordinating the completion of the Risk Register for Fleet Major Projects through their life cycle.
What do I need to do the role?

You will be required to have prior experience in a Risk Management environment along with all or some of the following:
• Project Management procedures and processes
• Governance, policy and procedures
• Highly analytical with the ability to utilise computer skills to produce in depth reports.
• Ability to communicate at all levels, building constructive and effective relationships to achieve results.
What else do I need to know?
This role is based at HM Naval Base Clyde, located 6 miles north of Helensburgh in the West of Scotland. We are well placed for commuter links to Glasgow and the wider region, with easy access for car and public transport.
