Clyde

The Senior Health & Safety Practitioner is based within our HMNB Clyde business area.

 

As the Ministry of Defence’s commercial partner at HMNB Clyde, Babcock provides specialist engineering support services, including the management of infrastructure and nuclear facilities. We also deliver operational maintenance, upgrades and repairs to support Royal Navy vessels, including the Vanguard and Astute-Class nuclear submarines.

 

The role

As a Senior Health & Safety Practitioner you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll play a key part the ongoing upkeep and improvement of H&S principles & conduct across the site. 

 

Day to day, you’ll undertake workplace inspections, participate in audits, investigate accidents and incidents and maintain the Health & Safety management system.

Essential experience

•    Background experience of Health & Safety
•    Ideally IOSH qualified 
•    Knowledge of policy, procedures and processes
•    Experience of authoring reports 
•    Must have or be able to obtain full SC security clearance
