Training Support Officer


Location – Fareham, Hampshire


9 Month Fixed Term Contract


Here at Babcock International we are currently seeking a Training Support Officer in Fareham in our area that provides training services that comprise of Naval technical and tactical training and education, delivered by Babcock instructors as well as training support.


Reporting to the Enabling Manager the Training Support Officer will act as the focal point of contact for all course cancellations, instructor non-availability and all other admin related tasks whilst meeting the requirements of all FOAP (T) contractual requirements and company standards. 


You will also be expected to assist with the process of recource management and instructor management, create and analyse planning statistics using MS Excel spread-sheets as required and regularly review planning processes and ensure they are continuously updated to reflect agreed improvements.


Other duties will include:

  • Maximise the efficient use of SharePoint for planning purposes.
  • Assist the scheduler in the creation and development of future baseline schedules.
  • Manage all classroom and conference room bookings


What do I need to do the role?

We would like you to be proficeint using MS Offce and adept at learnign new IT systems along with some or all of the following:


  • Experience of Training Planning, Support processes and systems.
  • An understanding of TAFMIS applications and their synergies in the planning process.
  • ECDL or equivalent demonstrable proficiency in using IT (hardware/software) within the workplace.
  • Familiarity in use of Microsoft Office SharePoint Services (MOSS) information platforms.
