Commercial Manager
Portsmouth or Nationwide Babcock Locations


Here at Babcock International we currently have a requirement for a Commercial Manager who will play a significant role in the delivery of a Commercial Service within our Marine Training business based in Portsmouth. You will be working closely with the wider commercial and finance teams so having excellent stakeholder relationship skills is necessary.

The role will require you to provide appropriate, timely and relevant advice on specific contractual and general commercial matters along with limited responsibilities within a supply chain capacity.

Currently you will be operating in a SCO, ACM or Junior commercial manager role looking to step up and fulfil duties consisting of the delivery of a commercial service to a series of projects, acting as the commercial representative to provide advice on various matters and ensure that tenders and contracts are conducted in accordance with commercial policies.


What we would like you to have:
You must have relevant experience working within commercial function with the ability work autonomously where required. Preferably, you will be seeking the next step in your career moving from an ACM, SCO or Junior Commercial Manager post.

We would also like you to hold all or some of the following:
• Education to HNC standard or a legal/CIPS/IACCM qualification.  A comprehensive body of experience may be acceptable
• A good understanding of Ministry of Defence and commercial based contractual Terms and Conditions.
