About the role

Babcock Learning and Development Partnership is a seeking a qualified and experienced Educational Psychologist to lead our large and friendly service in this exciting time of development and change.

Working in close partnership with Devon County Council you will be leading a service that provides psychological services to all schools in Devon in addition to a healthy traded service. The service works closely with other services within the contract as well as external partners. The successful candidate  will play a key role in joining a dynamic and supportive Senior Leadership Team whilst playing a key role in the SEND transformation programme that Devon is currently undertaking.


Having successfully been outsourced through a Joint Venture Partnership the contract is returning to Devon County Council in July 2022. The Principal EP will have an opportunity to shape this transformation and be part of the wider conversations about the future of SEND Services in Devon.


We are looking for a candidate who:
• Will lead the team, with an uncompromising  drive to improve outcomes for children and young people
• Has a proven track record of  innovative practice whilst leading a large and diverse team
• Understands complex budget management and has experience of  leading both commissioned and traded services
• Has outstanding IT skills and can lead on how information technology can be used to improve outcomes and effective working practice
• Has an understanding of safeguarding in a complex environment and an ability to be able to both lead and challenge to enable safer working practice
