About the role
Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit an experienced Health and Social Care professional to join our Training Division as a Health and Social Care Trainer/Assessor. We are a trusted name across the training and apprenticeships market and are one of the UK’s largest and most reputable training providers.

You’ll be part of a large team of Apprenticeship Trainers and Assessors who provide training to numerous markets including Automotive, Active Leisure, Hospitality, Retail and Health and Social Care. Within Health and Social Care, we offer Apprenticeship Programmes from Level 2 Lead Adult Care to Level 5 Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children’s and Young People’s Services.

Using your experience within Health and Social Care, you will train, assess, progress and support learners who are on an Apprenticeship Programme within a care setting across the Lower East Midlands region. You will be maintaining documentation within the e-portfolio system, identify and engage with potential employers and learners and build on existing client relationships.

You will have to effectively manage your diary to ensure all learners within your caseload are fully supported to meet both company and contractual requirements.

As well as being part of a business that support over 14,000 apprentices, we’ll also provide you with all the training that you need to become a fully qualified Apprentice Trainer and Assessor.

What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to hold Level 3 in Health and Social care competency, with Level 5 being desirable but not essential.

We would also like you to have the following:

• GCSE A-C in Maths & English or equivalent
• Excellent organisational skills and a professional demeanour
• Have a valid driving licence and your own car, with a willingness to travel within the region
• A keen interest in supporting people through their Apprenticeship.

If you have a CAVA qualification or Award in Education and Training, this would be beneficial.

What else do I need to know?
• Basic salary is £23,409
• Travel expenses are covered
• 35 hours a week Monday-Friday
