About the Role

Here at Babcock International, we are currently looking for an Apprentice Development Partner to join our Learning & Development Team based in Rosyth. We aim to deliver engineering-led and world-leading products and services across our Engineering, Specialised Manufacturing, Gas Handling Systems and Naval Marine business streams.

As the Apprentice Development partner, you will play a key role in the recruitment and development of all Energy and Marine Babcock Apprentices across the Rosyth site, making sure that they receive the experience required for sign off, year on year, throughout their 4-year programme.

 

You will lead the recruitment campaign to ensure we recruit the right number of trades into the business, developing and running Assessment Centres and working with internal members of the team to develop an induction and development programme to support the transition from school (or previous employers) to business, supporting/coaching apprentices on business projects.

 

What do I need to do the role?

You must have previous experience managing an apprentice programme and developing apprentices to successful completion whilst working with external bodies. In addition, you will have experience in the following:
• Trades / engineering / industrial background
• Have experience in assessment centre development
• Able to confidently interact with stakeholders and work well in a team

 

What else do I need to know?

You will work 37 hours per week and you must be able to achieve the appropriate level of Security Clearance before starting. We are happy to talk about flexible working, please ask about alternative patterns of work at interview.
