Asset Engineer

About the role

Reporting to the Senior Asset Engineer (DEMO) – Team Lead, the position of Asset Engineer is responsible for undertaking equipment baseline audits to enable seamless transfer of strategic equipment management between Navy and the DEMO (Defence Equipment Management Organisation).

 

As part of the role, you will

  • Help contribute to the safety and longevity of a variety of equipment through correct lifecycle management
  • Review and identify appropriate maintenance practices to support lifecycle management of assets
  • Use your engineering knowledge to understand maintenance across mechanical and electrical systems
  • Contribute to continuous improvements within the transfer process

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Identify and research equipment maintenance information -populate baseline data to master spreadsheet.
  • Validate maintenance requirements and instructions - review current maintenance activity is correct. Verify if additional maintenance is required.
  • Identify, review and write safe to operate documentation.                                                        
  • Produce an equipment audit transfer report.

 

About you

With an Engineering Degree or equivalent experience (1+years), you will have knowledge and capability with technical databases and maintenance management systems. This position requires solid analytical and problem solving skills, great time management skills and comprehensive written and verbal communication skills.
