The role

 

The difference our new Electronics Engineer will make
As an Electronics Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. The Electrical and Electronics Discipline in Mission Systems are responsible for maintaining all Electrical and Electronic aspects of Babcock supplied equipment across several UK platforms. This role assists projects that fall under the design, build and in-service support stages for Astute, Trafalgar and Vanguard.


Day to day, you will be part of a dynamic team and want the opportunity to interact with our customer, suppliers, production, and test facilities.

We offer flexible working to give people more options to better integrate their work and personal life, whilst ensuring that business needs are met. This role provides hybrid working arrangements with 1-2 days in the office/onsite and 3-4 days working from home.

 

Essential experience

•    Experience with electrical systems on submarine and/or surface ships would be an advantage, but general electrical, electronics and software capability and the willingness to learn and take on new challenges would also be suitable.
•    Good, broad, electrical engineering knowledge. 
•    Experience with Teamcenter Product Data Management system preferred (experience with other PDM systems will be considered).

•    Must be able to achieve SC clearance.
