The Operational Buyer is based within our Aviation business area.

Our Aviation business helps defend nations, save lives and protect communities through innovative delivery of critical and vital aviation services to the civil and defence sectors. Everyday lives, livelihoods, safety and security depend on the operations we fly and enable.

 

The role

 

The difference our new Operational Buyer will make


As a Operational Buyer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. supporting the aviation fleet for Military in the UK as well as the Onshore and Design & Completion parts of the business.

Day to day, you’ll be converting purchase requisitions to purchase orders and issuing to suppliers. Managing and developing supplier relationships. Ensuring supplier contracts are administered. Building supplier relationships. Pro-active supplier order book management. Reporting on KPI’s. Obtain quotations for new aircraft parts, standard exchanges, repairs orders and indirect requirements to obtain the most cost-effective solution and efficient delivery to meet the requirements of the business

Essential experience

•    Ability to establish strong relationships with key stakeholders.
•    Flexible approach to workload.
•    Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.)
•    Highly collaborative and able to work successfully as part of a team.
•    Strong attention to detail.
•    Able to cope with changing variables and remain comfortable.
•    CIPS qualified – desirable but not essential
•    You should hold or have the ability to obtain Basic BPSS security clearance
