Babcock UK Aviation has an exciting opportunity for a Material Planner based in our Onshore Office at Gloucestershire Airport, which will support the aviation fleet in the UK. Your position is being developed as part of a recent re-structure making it an exciting time to join the team.


Who we are looking for?

We are looking for an experienced material planner to ensure material is available to support the aviation fleet. You’ll lead conversations with internal stakeholders on scheduled inputs and managing the impact of those requirements. You’ll also has responsibility for inventory management ensuring it is being optimised. This is a great opportunity to work with various stakeholders and make a real impact to how we deliver on time to our customers. 


What will you be doing?
•    Work with Engineering and the customer to understand packages of work and key milestones
•    Actively manage inventory, looking at aging, usage and optimisation
•    Prepare scenario plans for new supply chain solutions
•    Identify savings for delivering new customer solutions
•    Manage availability against agreed plans with the internal customer. By forecasting inputs and outputs to meet the agreed plan
•    Drive business improvements, by scrutinising the existing supply chain and offering innovative solution which remove cost from the business


The experience you’ll bring 
•    Inventory Management/ Stock Optimisation
•    Demand Planning - working closely with internal stakeholders on forecasted requirements
•    Material Review (Shelf life, scrap, obsolescence etc.)
•    You must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
