Asset Surveyor (Expression of Interest)
Medway/Chatham, Kent or Minley, Camberley
 
About the role

 
Here at Babcock International, we have an interest for an Asset Surveyor to conduct surveys of various contracts and external infrastructure to report on condition, predicted replacement periods and indicative costs to a 2-year cyclical programme.
 
You will be responsible for carrying out H&S inspections of asset infrastructure, monitoring the condition of building defects and providing advice on repair work to maintenance teams. You will also conduct Infrastructure Technical Inspections across the contract.
 
What do I need to do the role?
 
You will have previous experience in operational and/or asset management within property or construction, and be qualified to a degree level, HNC or HND in a construction related discipline, or equivalent.
 
You will also have experience with condition grading building fabric and M&E services, as well as a knowledge and understanding of asset service life guidance such as CIBSE Guide M, and / or NBS guidance.
 
A full UK driving licence is also essential.
 
What else do I need to know?
 
This position can either be based at our Medway or Chatham sites in Kent or at Minley in Camberley and there will be regular travel involved between all three with occasionally overnight stays.
