Ground Support Assistant
Brize Norton, Oxfordshire


About the role

Here at Babcock we are looking to recruit a Ground Handling Assistant to provide service support to the aircraft based at RAF Brize Norton.


The job will involve driving and operating numerous specialist items of vehicles and equipment. Shift work is obligatory and will consist of 4 x 12 hour shifts followed by 4 x days off. Shifts will include both day and night working with flexible start and finish times which may be seasonally adjusted.


What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to hold a basic driving license, Goods Vehicles license up to 7.5T (Category C1) and be able to provide proof of colour perception (CP2). It would also be beneficial if you have a Forklift Licence.


What else do I need to know?

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role and will also need to complete a medical assessment
