As an Engineer you’ll be joining a team responsible for the maintenance of system and equipment data held within a bespoke IT application (commonly referred to as Configuration Management). You'll be responsible for managing design change, maintaining technical documentation and undertaking data investigations, to enable technical advice/support to be provided.

What do I need to do the role?
A level 3 qualifications (BTEC) in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (or related field) is preferred. However, applicants will also be considered without the minimum education requirement, but who can demonstrate relevant vocational experience.


We would also like you to have some or all of the following:

  • Hold, or be willing to work towards, professional recognition as an Engineering Technician or Incorporated Engineer within an appropriate Engineering Institution.
  • Have a structured approach to your work, with an eye for detail ensuring efficient use of time.
  • Ability to make appropriate decisions, based on an informed judgment.
  • Capable of conveying accurate information, using the most appropriate methods, to reflect the needs of the customer.

Lastly, you’ll need to be able to deploy excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
What else do I need to know?
• This position is based in Keynsham, which is situated between Bristol (5 miles) and Bath (7 miles).
• The Supportability Engineer will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements. You must be a sole UK national and hold or be capable of achieving ‘Security Check’ (SC) clearance.
• The post will be based in an environment regulated by Trade Control legislation and involve working with controlled goods, technology and/or services. This may require you to meet enhanced security and regular screening checks.
