Supply Chain Development Manager

Bristol or Devonport, Plymouth

 

About the role

 

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Supply Chain Development Manager to create and nurture relationships with our external key partners that design/deliver added-value Supply Chain solutions and tendering strategies that position Babcock DST as the preferred supplier in our chosen markets.

 

Supply Chain expertise is vital to the delivery of sustainable growth across the business. In the DST business, everything we do for our customers involves some element of Supply Chain management. As a key member of our high calibre Supply chain team, you will take the lead on significant projects that are critical to the business and its growth aspirations.

 

What do I need to do the role?

 

You will hold a Business, Finance, Supply Chain Management or Engineering degree with CIPS or equivalent and have years’ experience within Procurement and / or Supply Chain.

 

You will also understand Bid Winning processes and practices such as PQQ / ITT / ITN / BAFO and demonstrate excellent analytical skills to support and deliver the Supply Chain solutions that are deployed at higher level within the organisation.

 

You will have excellent Leadership qualities and be able to perform as an effective program manager, coordinating and delivering multiple supply chain outputs simultaneously as well as driving change, maintaining focus and showing a positive attitude in the face of scepticism.

 

You will also possess relationship-building, stakeholder management, interpersonal and influencing skills proving a delivery focussed with a pragmatic, hands-on approach.

This role could be considered for flexible working.

 

The position can either be based at our Bristol or Plymouth site.
