About the role

Here at Babcock we are looking to recruit a Senior HR Advisor.

 

You will provide support to the Regional HR Manager providing customer facing HR support to managers and employees, advising stakeholders on a range of employment relations subjects and related activities including; recruitment, contract creation, employment terms and conditions, probation, absence management, equal opportunities, disciplinary, grievance, capability & performance management, diversity & inclusion, relocation, redundancy and restructures in accordance with legislative governance, employment law and current Babcock policies and procedures.

 

  • Work in close partnership with Line Managers to ensure HR processes and issues are dealt with and escalated as appropriate and to ensure all enquiries are dealt with and responded to in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify probable risks linked to employee relations issues and proactively advise solutions and interventions ensuring outcomes are appropriate, practicable and managed effectively.
  • Create and maintain professional working relationships with local and Regional Trade Union representatives which facilitate effective employee communication, involvement and consultation throughout the business.
  • To keep up to date with any legislative changes and developments and HR best practice.
  • To co-ordinate the administration of annual process cycles such as salary reviews and PDRs in support of the Regional HR Manager.
  • Ensure a fair and consistent recruitment process is undertaken by the hiring manager liaising with the Company’s recruitment hub.
  • Support the preparation, co-ordination and delivery of appropriate internal HR training workshops.

 

What do I need to do the role?

 

You’ll need a relevant qualification or experience relating to Operational HR, experience of operational day to day HR Activities at Senior Adviser / Consultant level, working knowledge and experience of the TUPE process, including communication, consultation and transition & mobilisation, up to date knowledge of employment law with experience of putting this into practice at an operational level and experience of first line management.
