The Senior Buyer role is based within our Mission Systems business area.

The role

The difference our new Senior Buyer will make

As a Senior Buyer, you’ll have a role that’s our of the ordinary. As a Senior Buyer for Babcock Missions Systems, you will be responsible for driving performance and value opportunities on our International Programmes managing a diverse supply chain in our international markets.

Day to day, you’ll help with identifying value opportunities and levers, supply chain design, supplier relationship management, operational excellence and reporting and governance compliance.

This role provides hybrid working arrangements with 1-2 days in the office/onsite and 3-4 days working from home. Some international business travel may be required with this role.  

Essential experience

•    A bachelor’s degree or equivalent
•    Membership of a relevant professional body is preferred, for example the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply at a Level 5 or above, or working towards
•    Experience within a Supply Chain role, preferably in a Defence or Engineering environment
•    Obtain or have the ability to obtain BPSS clearance
