The Quality Systems Manager role is based within our Mission Systems business area.

The difference our new Quality Systems Manager will make


As a Quality Systems Manager you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. As well as working on some of the most high-profile projects in the UK, we also offer a supportive work environment where innovation is at the heart of what we do. Quality is a key business enabler; this role with help us ‘Lead Quality’.


Day to day, you’ll need to be able to demonstrate good communication and influencing skills as you’ll work closely internal and external stakeholders including Certification and Regulatory Bodies and also our clients. Using your experience, you will develop and lead the Compliance and Improvement Management Plan, ensuring our business is fully compliant with the Babcock Business Management System, the full range of Certified Management Systems and Standards and also work with the Business Lines to implement new Standards and approvals to support our growth into new products, territories and sectors. An expert in Certified Management Systems and Quality Assurance, you will ensure compliance through audit and engagement, drive continuous improvement activities, lead management review and lead System development. You will be the key point of contact for the range of third parties assessing our business Certified Systems.

Essential experience


•    Educated to degree level or equivalent with a relevant manufacturing or engineering discipline. 
•    Chartered Member or evidenced progress towards Chartered Member of the CQI.
•    Implementing complex Certified Management Systems, Standards and Approvals within the Engineering sector.
•    A deep understanding of the Systems and Standards construct, development intentions and the ability to translate into the business.
