The Role
As a Principal ILS Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be leading on the delivery of the Integrated Logistics Support elements of system updates, upgrades and the introduction of new capabilities. You will be responsible for influencing design, designing and then implementing support.

Day-to-day, you’ll working directly with customers/users and external suppliers and partners; the role will require some hands-on engineering and analysis.

You’ll be joining a small team of Integrated Logistics Support and Integrated Product Support Engineers to lead, manage and develop; the growth of the next generation of ILS/IPS professionals is important to us and our customers.

As a Principal ILS Engineer you will be an effective communicator, producing written documentation as part of contractual deliverables including Supportability Case Reports and Support Impact Statements.

This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements offering flexibility with working days onsite and working days working from home, however you may be required onsite for longer periods when the project demands.

Essential Experience of the Principal ILS Engineer

• Extensive experience in Integrated Logistics Support engineering including principles, methodologies and tools.
• Proven track record of leading and managing ILS projects, including updates, upgrades, and new capabilities.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations: DEF STAN 00-600 and the accepted LSA standards and specifications.

Qualifications for the Principal ILS Engineer 

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent time-served experience.

The successful candidate must be a SOLE UK National who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
