As a HR Business Partner, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We’re seeking a self-motivated HR Business Partner to support a portfolio of engineering businesses across the UK. You'll play a key role in driving the unified people strategy across the Babcock Nuclear sector—partnering with senior leaders and HR experts to deliver impactful solutions that boost performance, shape culture, and enable change in a fast-paced, complex environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll drive and deliver people-focused change projects aligned to sector strategy—collaborating with stakeholders to develop fit-for-purpose solutions, solve business challenges, apply data insights, track impact through KPIs, and support capability development through policy, process, and behavioural improvements.
- Lead and deliver change projects, collaborating with HR and business leaders to ensure fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Tackle complex business challenges with a holistic, impact-aware approach.
- Use data and analytics to guide decision-making and identify priority areas.
- Define and track KPIs to measure the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
- Develop policies and processes based on best practice, supporting capability growth and alignment with organisational goals.
This role is full time 35, hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements. Attendance at work location expected to be a minimum of 3 days per week and there will be some occasional travel requirements.
Essential experience of the HR Business Partner
- Proven HR Business Partner experience, with expertise in culture and change management within unionised, complex environments.
- Strong project leadership across multi-site, multi-disciplinary organisations.
- Skilled in stakeholder engagement, relationship-building, and balancing diverse priorities.
- Broad HR knowledge, with deep understanding of functional areas and change methodologies.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications for the HR Business Partner
- Level 7 or equivalent HR qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Chartered member of the CIPD and committed to continuous professional development.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
