About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit an Optimisation Data Analyst to join the Phoenix team and provide comprehensive analytical support to the Benefits Realisation Programme. This Optimisation Data Analyst will be a keen problem solver who can think on their feet in a dynamic work environment where no day is the same.


Working on big data sets, we are seeking an Optimisation Data Analyst who is highly analytical, has an ability to self-check, and who can produce meaningful insights through data modelling.


You will continuously review vehicle asset holdings and compile optimisation recommendations to provide value for money solutions to the customer. This will entail analysis of fleet data, customer transport requirements and future demand information to develop optimisation projects within the wider optimisation programme whilst maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders. Tracking and measurement of the progress of implemented benefits initiatives will also be required.


This is an excellent starting position in an Analyst role, with a competitive salary and working within a brand new facility.


What do I need to do the role?

You will have previous working experience in a data analysis role, ideally within Big Data, and a Maths degree would be desirable.


You will also hold a full UK driving licence and be an advanced MS Excel user including VBA, experience with SQL, Python, R would be ideal.


You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to work unsupervised and possess a high attention to detail.
