About the role

Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Critical Communications Business Account Manager.

 

This is a newly created and significant leadership role and will demand the highest levels of personal commitment and leadership alongside solid demonstrable experience across all levels and complexities of Customer and Stakeholder Account management.

 

It is ideally suited to an aspiring Business Development professional, Account or Project/programme manager who has demonstrable Customer skills and an entrepreneurial spirt to develop business opportunities in new and adjacent markets

 

You will have full accountability for the delivery of business growth within the Critical Communications business, through the pro-active pursuit of competitive opportunities across the portfolio. You will actively lead and deliver both internal (Organic) business growth and external “new” market opportunities, ensuring coherence with functional resources, Business development and pursuit capture.

 

 

What do I need to do the role?

A background in mid to senior level project and/or programme management would be an ideal foundation as would experience and credibility working across UK MOD, International markets and ideally civil industry sectors, such as Rail/Blue Light.

 

The role would also suit a hands on and pro-active business development or Customer account manager as the role will be required to secure new “key” supplier relationships with the aim of increasing our ability to win new business and therefore to support both organic business growth from the current portfolio of programmes alongside new markets.

 

Along with all or some of the following:

  • Have extensive experience in Business capture, solution development and business winning with demonstrable success in previous roles
  • Demonstrate an understanding of key opportunities within the Land & Maritime environment(s)
  • Be commercially astute, driven and with personal gravitas to lead on developing winning business solutions to some of our key strategic pursuits.
