The role
As a Satellite Communications Maintenance Engineer Team Lead you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Day-to-day, You will undertake the role leading a team of engineers performing maintenance on land-based satellite communication terminals.

• Set the tone for the team and create a positive and productive work environment, whilst motivating and inspiring team members, fostering a sense of collaboration and accountability.
• Adapt to changing situations and make strategic decisions in consultation with the Team Manager to ensure the team’s success.
• Equipment service planning, delegating tasks, report writing as well as setting team rotas, managing absences, and coordinating holiday leave.
• Liaising with the customer to provide land-based satellite communication terminals on UK sites, in accordance with agreed delivery profiles.
• Be part of the provision for 24/7/365 telephone support, UK and worldwide to all customers such that agreed levels of terminal availability are maintained.  Aim to resolve all support calls efficiently as possible within contracted timescales to maintain terminal availability.
• Provide UK on site field support to customers agreed levels of terminal availability are maintained.

This role is full time role, 37 hours per week and is based on site at Oakhanger, UK.

Essential experience of the Satellite Communications Maintenance Engineer Team Lead:

• Experience in a leadership or management role
• Knowledge and experience of satellite communications equipment and systems

Qualifications for the Satellite Communications Maintenance Engineer Team Lead:

• Full clean driving licence
