USAR Trainer
Location: Beckton, London and other training sites
Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £ 32,000.00 plus excellent benefits


About the role

Here at Babcock we are looking for a USAR Trainer to ensure the successful delivery of USAR Training.  A comprehensive technical knowledge of Fire Service National Resilience USAR capability and understanding fully National and regional guidelines pertaining to USAR is required.

What do I need to do the role?

You’ll need to have an appropriate teaching qualification – PTTLS, Award in Education & Training or similar, USAR Technician (Phase 1) and USAR Phase 2. If you have the following, this would be beneficial: USAR Instructor, Chainsaw Instructor, Hot cutting Instructor, Advancing Shoring, LACE Instructor, Confined Space Supervisor or Fork Lift Truck Operator.


Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:

  • Ensure the effective delivery of USAR Training accordance with the Training Delivery Programme
  • Ensure a safe system of work is maintained throughout effective training delivery
  • Contribute to the design and development of USAR Training Courses delivered by Babcock
  • Ensure you achieve a minimum of 80% delivery time
  • Course administration as required
  • Deliver training when programmed
  • Provide input to support current and future training and infrastructure projects as require


What else do I need to know?

  • The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
