Staff Development Manager


About the role
Here at Babcock International we’re looking to recruit a Staff Development Manager.

You will be responsible for the development and progression of our internal staff, including Trainers, Training Team Leaders and support staff. You’ll identify, develop, plan and deliver suitable training solutions to enhance the customer experience within a training environment by coaching and developing our people.#


Major tasks and activities:

• To develop a training programme for internal staff to provide a clear career pathway for progression
• Oversee and manage the compliance of training requirements and ensure refresher expiry dates for formal qualifications are not breached
• Work closely with leaders across the organisation and have a full understanding of their teams requirement in relation to development of staff
• Have an awareness of the allocated budget for development and an ability to find solutions in order to implement the required training 
• Manage the on boarding and induction process for all new staff
• Evaluate and report on the success of development plans, ROI and effectiveness of training and development activities


What do I need to do the role?
You’ll need to be qualified to degree, CIPD or CTP level, or equivalent work experience and have teaching experience and qualification of Level 3 or above and have evidence of CPD in the area of L&D or related discipline.


What else do I need to know?
• The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
